CHAPTER IV: THE HERETIC’S PATH
The Corruption of the Pit
To paint the enemy is to understand the enemy. 1914: The Heretic’s Path shifts the palette away from the warm, sanctified gold of the Church and into the cold, alien hues of the Abyss. This set is engineered to feel "wrong"—a collection of bruised violets, bloodless greys, and chaotic metallics that represent the physical manifestation of the Pit on Earth.
Whether you are painting the twisted flesh of a mutant or the jagged, warp-touched blades of a Heretic Priest, this set provides the chromatic dissonance required to make your miniatures truly unsettling.
The Unholy Manifest: Inside Set IV
HERETIC'S BRUISE (Deep Violet) A muted, sickly purple. Mutated flesh, internal hellfire glazes.
BLASPHEMOUS COPPER (Dark Copper) A dark, reddish metallic. Infernal machinery, heretic ornaments.
ROTTING FAITH (Yellow Olive) A pale, sickly "dead" tan. Pale skin for communicants/undead.
PUTRID ICHOR (Dead Flesh) A nasty, transparent-leaning bile. Pus, chemical leaks, heretic fluids.
FRESH STIGMATA (Intense Red) Vibrant, bright arterial red. Open wounds, weeping icons.
Why Choose the Path?
"The light of Nova Antiochia does not reach the bottom of the trench. Down here, the colors are older, colder, and hungrier."
Narrative Consistency: Specifically formulated to contrast with the "Holy" tones of Sets I and II.
High-Pigment Saturation: Achieve deep, bruised tones without losing the underlying detail of the sculpt.
Technical Versatility: Includes both ultra-matte and high-gloss finishes to simulate organic and industrial corruption.
