1. 1Undercoat. Prime the model black to kill the plastic sheen and give the red above it depth.
2. 2Base the armour. One pass of single-coat red for solid, even plates.
3. 3Shade. Pull Carmine ink into the recesses to deepen the red and build instant contrast.
4. 4Highlight. Catch the raised edges with a brighter red to make the armour read on the table.
5. 5Metal. Pick out weapons and detail in silver, and the trooper is done.
