Start with the armour: undercoat, a cold blue-grey base, a matched ink sunk into the recesses, then a two-stage highlight up to a pale frost edge. Then the details that make this host read as it should: bright steel on blades and chainmail, gold iconography, bone teeth and talismans, leather and fur pelts, and a red accent on sagas and seals.

Every bottle is printed with an opacity marking, so you are never guessing whether a colour covers in one pass or two. The selection is not random. It is built on the warcolours colour wheel, so the shade, layers and accents belong to the same tonal family and blend the way they should. High-pigment, water-based acrylic in dropper bottles, plus a base-layer brush and a detail brush to put it all down.

1. 1Undercoat. Prime black for depth, white where you want detail colours to sing.
2. 2Base and shade the armour. Cold blue-grey in two thin coats, then Indigo ink drawn into the recesses.
3. 3Two-stage highlight. Build the edges up through Blue Grey 2, then Blue Grey 1 for a pale frost line.
4. 4Metals. Silver for blades and chainmail, antique gold for iconography.
5. 5Details. Leather and fur pelts, bone teeth and talismans, red sagas and seals, white for the final sparkle.
